Joining the UIUC ATLAS Moonshot

Working on graph-grounded learning and reskilling, learner state, and human verification.

Graph-grounded learning and reskilling

I joined the UIUC ATLAS Moonshot—Adaptive Technologies for Learning and Reskilling—at the invitation of Prof. Jiawei Han. The initiative connects learners, training providers and employers through an Upskill-as-You-Go AI education and reskilling ecosystem.

The advising team includes ChengXiang Zhai, Jiaxuan You, Nancy M. Amato, Dilek Hakkani-Tür and Jiawei Han.

Open Reskill Graph

My work connects curricula, job requirements and learning materials to atomic skill nodes, dependency edges and adaptive microlearning units. This structure provides a foundation for personalization and learner-state modeling.

An AI-pilot for learning

The Trusted U-GO AI-pilot grounds tutoring in structured skill graphs, learner states and human verification. The aim is assistance that supports the learner’s own progress rather than ungrounded answer generation.

The evaluation work includes skill-gap diagnosis, learning-gain measurement and the design of human–AI learning interactions. It asks how to distinguish productive assistance from passive autopilot usage.
